In addition to being a social activity, music can also be spiritual in nature. Harmony, rhythm, and melody are three of the most significant elements of music. As a solitary pursuit, Indian classical music focuses on melodic development due to its contemplative, spiritual nature.
The way Indian classical music is learned is very similar to learning a language, which is one of my favorite things about it. Learning grammar and vocabulary is the first step towards making your own sentences when studying a language. Following the basic notes in Indian classical music, you are introduced to ragas (musical themes), and then you are encouraged to improvise and create your own melodies. When you’re familiar with a raga, improvising melodies isn’t that difficult.
Various forms of music are taught at Anhad Naad. Our music programs are tailored according to the students’ needs, taking into account the extraordinary intensity of music
Classical Music
Among classical music, Khayal is the purest and most important form. The emphasis in classical music is on improvisation and exploring a raga’s full potential
Semi Classical Music
Taking the basic methods of classical music and simplifying them, semi-classical music is more accessible and popular because it is a simplified form of classical music. A few examples are BHAJAN, THUMRI, KAJRI, GAZAL, GEET
Bolywood Music
The most popular form of music today is Bollywood music, also called Hindi film music or filmi songs. Traditionally, Indian classical music has been derived from it as well.
